Matt Townsend is a pretty funny guy! Loved the name he gave me, “The Queen of Marital Intimacy!” Cute Matt! It was a treat to be a guest on his BYU Radio program “The Matt Townsend Show” on SiriusXM satellite radio on Wednesday, February 13, 2013, 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. (Mountain Time).

Training for Bishops
As a marriage and family therapist and active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I was recently asked to help with a training meeting for some of our local LDS Bishops. It was a little surprising to find very few resources easily available to help our good Bishops–especially with issues related to counseling with Church members.
In requesting information and resources from a plethora of my LDS counselor friends and LDS Family Services friends, I was surprised that not many had a lot to offer (…thankfully some did!). Most everyone did ask if I would please share with them whatever I found.
Packet of Resources for Bishops
So, after putting together a packet of resources for the Bishop’s training , I thought I should also make them a little more easily available in case other therapists are asked to do trainings, and if other Bishops may be interested in this information as well.
Below you will find a list of possible resources for Bishops and their members with links to the pdf files or directly to website resources. (Please let me know if you have other good resources to add…!

2013 Kissy Photo Contest Winners

We just wanted to share a few thoughts and some fun pictures from our 2012 Couples Photos contest winners Trevor and Danielle!
We just wanted to thank you so much for the gift certificate to the Anniversary Inn for the photo contest. It was truly the retreat we needed because we had just spent 6 weeks studying 12-16 hours a day straight for our first set of medical board exams.
We went up to Utah and were able to spend the night at the Logan Anniversary Inn on our 6-month anniversary thanks to you!

Not that I need a reason, but my good friend, Fawn, at the Happy Wives Club wanted all us marriage-strengthening blogger types to start a trend of sharing some of the reasons we love and adore our husbands. I was more than happy to oblige! So, here is the beginning of my never-ending list of reasons I really, really like my cute husband! ; )
My Never-Ending List of Why I Love My Husband…
#1 — I really like my husband because he doesn’t get mad when I call him to tell him my car won’t start again and he has to come get me in the snow!
#2 — I really like my husband because he just smiled at me when when I said he was being kinda grumpy tonight!
#3 — I really love my husband because he gave me three really great kids that are super fun to have around!
#4 — I really love my husband because he’ll go get groceries cuz I hate going!
#5 — I really love my husband because he takes me out for a Date Night every week!
#6 — I really like my husband cuz he’s the best daddy in the world…and you may already know from this post that being a good daddy is a fabulous aphrodisiac! ; )
#7 — I really love my husband because he put all our wedding photos into a fabulous photo book for Christmas…as you can see above!
