Staying Together

December 26th, 2008 by Laura M. Brotherson

The Osmond Brothers (2nd Generation) sang this song “We’re Staying Together” as a tribute to their parents who recently celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary. It’s true that the greatest gift one can give a child is for their parents to love each other in marriage. I was particularly impressed with this song, which encourages couples to shut out the voices that tempt them with thoughts and actions that could destroy their marriage.

It seems to be more and more rare to find those who have been married any length of time. That makes it all the more important to celebrate those who do find a way to overcome the inevitable challenges in marriage.

Hope you enjoy the song, and find inspiration in it for your own marriage.

(I sure love the lead singer’s voice here — David Osmond. He’s also on American Idol Season 8, so we’ll hopefully get to hear a lot more of him!)

This is a nice video. I’m glad this Osmond family has stayed together for 34 years. I really think the best thing parents can do for their children is to love each other and have a strong marriage.
