* CRUISE NEWSLETTER #6
-- November 23, 2005 *
Hello,
We are getting so close to the cruise,
and with the holidays coming the time will be upon us before we know it.
We are planning on having a short
sacrament meeting on Sunday February 12, 2006 prior to the seminar for
all those who are interested in attending, however we are in need of
someone in our group who may be a Bishop or Stake President that has
the authority to conduct the meeting. If any of you fill this
description please contact Cruise Planners.
We now have the information for our
group excursions. We are excited about the excursions that are
planned and hope you will find them exciting as well.
St. Thomas
Island Tour
Tuesday,
February 14, 2006
This tour includes, 1
1/2-hour tour of the island, 2-hours shopping on downtown main street
and 2-3 hours at Magens Bay for swimming, snorkeling, ect.
The tour begins with a
stop at Crown Mountain where you can over look the west side of the
island then to Mountain Top for a 20-minute stop and over look Magens
Bay, Jost Van Dyke, Tortola, St John and Hans Lollik Island. Our
next stop is downtown main street for shopping, then on to Magens Bay.
National Geographic
Magazine has named Magens Bay one of the top ten most beautiful beaches
in the world. Our tour includes a 2-3 hour swim and snorkel at
this beach.
We will leave at 9:00am
and be back to the ship at 4:30pm. The cost for this excursion is
$50.00 per person.
St. Maarten
Island Tour
Wednesday,
February 15, 2006
This tour includes a
chartered bus to Marigot for shopping, and ferry ride to Pinel
Island.
We will board a chartered
bus at 9:00 am. you can sit back, relax and enjoy the view of the
island as we drive through the Dutch capital, over the scenic Cole Bay
Hill into the French capital. We will stop at Marigot for a
2-hour shopping stop. Voted best shopping; Marigot,
on the French side is great place to browse European-style boutiques.
The tour then continues
along the northeast coast and we'll get on a ferry to Pinel
Island. Although it is only a 5-minute boat ride, it seems as
though one has escaped to a secluded locale. You can choose to
soak in the rays on the crescent-shaped white sand beach or try your
hand at snorkeling. Be prepared to bring some extra cash if you
wish to rent a beach chair and umbrella.
Finally, we will head
back across the "border" to the Dutch side, back to Phillipsburg around
2:00 pm. You will have time to shop or explore before getting
back on the ship.
Cost: Bus Charter
Tour and Ferry ride $40.00 per person.
If interested, all shore
excursions must be paid to Cruise Planners by check before January 1,
2006.
We'll see you in 13
weeks!
